Are you currently struggling with finding ways to attract more members to your ministry?
Is it difficult to actively engage new members and get them to stay for the long haul?
Do you wish your structure was more organized and had a process for developing leaders to share in the workload?
Are you looking for a way to increase giving & the financial status of your organization?
Is Marketing sometimes the LAST thing on your mind when it should be the FIRST?
You’re not the only one. Now, more than ever, people are seeking spirituality in their lives, and the church and her people have to respond in a relevant way. The challenge for you, as a leader, is all about integrating this connection into your core responsibilities… preaching, teaching, leading, managing, directing…and that’s a lot to handle.
Many other leaders I’ve worked with have faced this similar issue…they’re operating at a comfortable level…almost too comfortable, and notice that their congregation and community around them is dramatically changing. Yet, they haven’t changed. They know they have to do something, or the future of their church existence will be at risk. But, they don’t know what to do.
So, before we go further, let’s agree that you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’ll guess that you were never taught how to market your church or organization and the transformative power that it can have. Sure, you’ve distributed flyers, mailed letters, and did some local advertising for a special event. It may have produced some immediate results, but no matter what you do or try, your efforts don’t seem to generate the long-lasting and consistent results you would like, right?
The good news is that there are ways to attract, retain, and develop your membership for a healthier church body without pushing so hard. Increasing your ministry outreach doesn’t have to be difficult, if you approach it the right way. It just takes an objective look at the inside and outside to best prepare for the growth ahead.
